I worked with Everblume as a design contractor, responsible for the end-to-end design including branding, website design/dev and app design for web and mobile.
Problem to solve:
Store-bought produce spoils fast, supplements lack transparency, and pesticides raise health concerns. Growing your own is ideal but requires time, space, and expertise.
Our solution:
Everblume simplifies home growing with an automated system that controls light, water, and nutrients. Just set it up, press grow, and enjoy fresh, pesticide-free plants anytime.
Marketing Website
We designed a site for Everblume to introduce the grow box and highlight the benefits of using a grow appliance for homegrown plants. To gauge market demand and test willingness to pay, we enabled users to reserve a unit for $100 before production.
Connect
A key part of the Everblume user journey was connecting the grow appliance to their account, enabling automation and control via WiFi using the mobile app. Through user testing, we found that clear, step-by-step instructions were essential for a smooth setup experience.
After connecting the grow box to WiFi, users needed to prepare it for growing. A clear, step-by-step setup was essential to give users confidence in the process and ensure accurate execution—helping prevent mistakes that could impact plant growth and lead to failed yields later on.
Let’s Grow
Once the Everblume grow box was set up, users could easily monitor, control, and track their plant’s progress through the mobile app. The app provided guidance on what to expect at each stage to ensure the grow was on track. For experienced growers, it also allowed environmental adjustments to experiment with different growing conditions.
Web App
The mobile app was just one part of the Everblume experience. We built a web app, allowing users to manage their grow box, monitor progress, and adjust settings seamlessly from a laptop or computer.
